On Wednesday the 9th May 2018, British Adventurer Ben Fogle summited Mount Everest and achieved a dream to inspire his own children and make his wife proud, despite feel fear whilst on the mountain.
Having been to the Himalayas myself and standing at base camp looking up at the summit of Mount Everest, it is easy for me to understand the great challenge of successfully reaching the summit of this popular Goliath. Despite a lot of critics and those who vehemently belittle those that take on this challenge, the fact remains that Ben Fogle summited Mount Everest and achieved a dream. What is wrong with that?
Regardless of peoples views both positive and negative, anyone who goes on the achieve a dream despite what others say, and in the face of fear, gets a unequivocal ‘THUMBS UP’ from me.
I truly believe that anyone who turns a dream, an idea or vision into a reality, it is one of the greatest things you can ever do in life. Not only does it fill you with a great sense of pride and changes your belief system that anything is possible. It also makes you realise that we as human beings are capable of more than we think we are, but it has the power and potential to inspire others to move forward and achieve their own dreams.
I loved the fact that he said he does these things to inspire his own children and make his wife proud of him. As a father and future husband myself, I share his sentiments and know exactly what he means.
The way I see it, we has human beings are here to inspire other generations to go ahead and do great things for humanity and achieve their own life dreams and fulfil their own limitless potential.
The take away with this story is this.
No matter what people say and the fear you may feel when working towards achieving a dream, do not allow fear and other peoples opinions stop you in moving forward and realising your potential and doing good for others.
Ben Fogle – I salute you!
“Don’t let fear stand in the way of your dreams.”
